To keep from freezing in the great white north, Angela K Couch cuddles under quilts with her laptop. Winning short story contests, being a semi-finalist in ACFW's Genesis Contest, and a finalist in the 2016 International Digital Awards also helped warm her up. As a passionate believer in Christ, her faith permeates the stories she tells. Her martial arts training, experience with horses, and appreciation for good romance sneak in as well. When not writing, she stays fit (and toasty warm) by chasing after five munchkins.
Reviews
A lovely romance and a touching story of a wounded family. Set amid the bleakness of Nazi-occupied Normandy, A Rose for the Resistance raises thoughtful questions about loyalty and courage and trust. Rosalie and Franz both find strength in dire circumstances, and their love grows from impossible to inevitable. You will lose yourself in this beautiful and suspenseful story!

--Amanda Barratt, Christy Award-winning author of The White Rose Resists The French paid the price "with the blood of their men and the tears of their women." Writing like this, which etched into my heart, drew me deep into the lives of two grief-stricken people struggling to overcome their fears to protect the ones they love. Though set amidst the chaos of World War II, the story focuses a soft light upon growing faith, challenging family relationships, and enduring trust. Angela Couch's novel is an emotional escape into a tension-filled era.
--Johnnie Alexander, best-selling and award-winning author of Where Treasure Hides and The Cryptographer's Dilemma. Wow! A Rose for the Resistance is a story that will capture you from the start and not let you go. The way Angela has of telling a story and drawing you into the time and place is beautiful. I couldn't read it fast enough. Fabulous storytelling, lovely word choice, and realistic characters. I highly recommend this book.
