About the Author
Salvador Bentolila (he/him) is a civil engineer whose career has always focused on water. He first designed systems to supply water in Africa and then managed projects to build water infrastructure in New York. Now, he implements technology to plan, design, build and operate water-related projects.
Emma Wolf (she/her) is an editor at A Kids Co. She was raised in a house full of books and became a voracious reader at an early age. She holds a BA in journalism from the University of Oregon and an MA in book publishing from Portland State University-which is another way of saying she loves words and her home in the Pacific Northwest. In her free time, Emma reads a lot, drinks kombucha, and spends lots of time outside with friends and family, rain or shine.
Rick DeLucco (he/him) is the Creative Director at A Kids Co. Originally from Southern California, he moved to Portland, Oregon, in 2005 where he lives with his amazing wife, Kelly, and their 2 boys, George and Enzo. Rick honed his design and illustration skills in his spare time until getting his first big break at Dark Horse Comics. Now, his work exemplifies everything he loves to do: designing and illustrating empowering kids' stories.

Just to begin thinking about what water is, how it is part of us, and how it exists in our world is a beautiful thing. I love this book. - Eric Lehan, P.E. (he/him), Water/Sanitation Engineer

This is a great intro to a complex topic that makes water issues and facts easy to understand -- very cute and informative. Hopefully it inspires some future engineers to help us continue to work towards keeping our water abundant and clean! - Amy Egerter (she/her), Sustainability Expert

It's easy to take water for granted, which has resulted in humans polluting and depleting it. Salvador Bentolila's book reminds us of its importance and risks, simply and colorfully. Children and adults can learn from it. -Josh Spodek, podcast host, This Sustainable Life

This is a great educational book for kids and adults alike. U.S. schools generally don't teach the practical aspects of the world around us and this book illustrates the importance of water and how it affects us on a day-to-day basis. -Christina Merwin (she/her), Engineer

I loved the book!!! So easy for any kid to read and more importantly truly understand the importance and impact that water has on everyone and everything around us. The illustrations and images were so relevant and conveyed so much. A great read I would recommend for any young child. - Mathews Mathai

"A Kids Book About Water" is not only really good but so pleasant to read. People take water for granted all the time, that's what I love the most about the book is the way the author simplifies the importance of protecting and conserving water that is so easy to understand and never forget. Thank you for being a great advocate of this topic and helping conserve our most precious resource, one drop at the time. -Carolina Venegas Martinez (she/her), Civil Engineer
