Description
On his way to meet friends at Winter Carnival in Quebec City, Brian wrecks his car in a snowstorm. The incident precipitates a collision of cultures - Brian's gay secular world - and the conservative Muslim one of the garage owners in Sherbrooke. One of the owners agrees to drive Brian to Quebec City only to get stranded with him as the winter storm intensifies. Later in the week, the owner's handsome nephew, Omar, delivers Brian's car. Omar and Brian experience instant attraction, setting in motion a chain reaction of erotically charged passion, self-discovery, and international intrigue linking Quebec, Morocco, and Boston. Can Brian and Omar cross personal and cultural borders or will they remain entrenched in vastly different worlds, repeating history? Enjoy this fast-paced plot and richly textured narrative.

Michael Hartwig is a Boston and Provincetown based author specializing in LGBTQ stories set in historic settings around the world. The narratives are remarkable for fast-paced plots, passionate love stories, exploration of sexual identity, and evocative settings. Hartwig's books draw on his having lived in Europe, his professional work in international travel, and his college-level courses in sexual ethics and religion. Plots push boundaries around gender and family and introduce new paradigms of spirituality and magic. His novels are sensual - celebrating sexual desire, food, art, and geography.
