Description

"A lovely book about a father and his daughter's relationship that I actually awww'd out loud at that last line!" ― Maria Eduarda, Goodreads

Early this morning, as I lay snoring,
my daughter shared a sweet surprise.
She hid a chocolate in my pocket,
then blew a kiss across my eyes.

A moving story in rhyme about the love between a father and his daughter. And about chocolate! For everyone ages 4 years and up.

About the Author

Eric LaBranche has been writing poetry and short stories nearly all his life. He especially enjoys writing stories that entertain as well as inspire fresh points of view, with a particular eye toward the way that children view the world. Eric was born and raised in New England. Growing up with seven siblings helped him dream up many of his early stories. Now Eric continues to discover new stories to tell while living in Ireland with his wife Helen and their two children, Claire and Eoin.
Margaret Anne Suggs loves to draw! Her specialty is children's picture books. For a while she produced illustration for a clock company . . . but that's a story for another time. Margaret Anne was born and raised in the Deep South, but later moved to Dublin, Ireland to pursue her Master's Degree in Visual Communication at the National College of Art and Design. When she is not drawing, painting, and making things, Margaret Anne teaches others to draw at a local college. Margaret Anne lives in County Dublin, near the sea, with her dashing husband, two amazing sons, and a whiny cat. She is never too busy to eat chocolate.

Reviews

"Great book for kids. Great book for adults to remind them to slow down once in a while." -- Laura Rinaldi, reviewer

"Such a cute book! It shows the child's love for her father. I also love how the book is written in a rhyming manner."-- Brittany Jones, Librarian

"A lovely book about a father and his daughter's relationship that I actually awww'd out loud at that last line!" -- Maria Eduarda, Goodreads

"About the love and relationship between a father and her daughter. It also hints a little bit at the idea that parents can be too busy sometimes and they might miss some sweet moments with their children. A great read for children who just started learning how to read." -- Laura Enescu, Bibliofagista
