The Dudley's booksellers are unanimously obsessed with a certain kind of science writing: books that recognize the interconnectedness of the human and natural worlds, books that acknowledge what makes us human might just be how moved (or unmoved) we are by our impact on plants, animals, ecosystems. To be moved by a landscape, or an octopus, or a fungus is to be human. And we're excited to read the voices of underrepresented authors publishing in this genre, because so much of science writing has, historically, been colonized by a white, male perspective.
