C. a. Fletcher$16.99 $15.63
Recommended by Elizabeth Mooney: A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World by CA Fletcher is my favorite book in the past 12 months. It’s a page turnover with lots of suspenseful foreshadowing. It’s the type of adventure tale that would have had me reading under the bedcovers after lights out with a flashlight when I was young to learn what happens next. Check it out and enjoy!
Joan Didion$15.00 $13.80
Recommended by Louis Bryan: Joan Didion (1983) Didion spent some months in early 1982 burrowing into the political and social scene in Miami, and from that she produced this splendid and insightful book. This is nonfiction, with copious notes and an index, but oh my goodness does it ever read like an entertaining crime novel, everything from the Bay of Pigs to Ollie North and the Contras.
