Once Upon a Broken Heart (Book Series)
By Fae ReviewsIs it strange that I feel the same after I read “The Ballad of Never After” as when I finished “Once Upon a Broken Heart?” You can check my reviews on both books side by side to see the parallelism. From my characters perception to how the story flew, the sensations and opinions remain.
Evangeline feels like a Disney princess to me. So, if you’re a fan of that, dig in. If you don’t love damsels in distress, this book might not be for you. I feel I’m locked in a loop. I get answers, but I end with more questions and puzzles than before. There are many things I can’t get my head around.
If you put all Disney stories in a mixer and pour it onto pages, you get something resembling this book series (and this is not a criticism neither a compliment). It’s just a convoluted story.
How long will we have to wait to finally make sense of everything?
