There's nothing like reading a debut.
I'm a firm believer in the need for a healthy book diet. Regularity, sure. (You got to eat, right?) But it's not just that--it's about variety. Different genres, no doubt. Different formats, absolutely. Different reasons for buying though too! Read your favorite author, yes. Read an acclaimed author, yes. But don't you dare pass on reading a stellar debut! ✨
There's such possibility with debut authors. They could take you anywhere and only the places they can conjure up for the very first time. And I've seen such incredibly creativity with debut authors too, taking risks and exploring previously untapped corners of their studied mind.

Kill Your Darlings
L. E. Harper$13.99

You Are Here
Karin Lin-Greenberg$27.00 $25.11

What You Don't Know Will Make a Whole New World: A Memoir
Dorothy Lazard$20.00 $18.60
This debut is from one of California's most celebrated librarians and public historians. It's the story of coming of age in the Bay Area in the 60s and 70s and the author's thirst for knowledge on her way to becoming "the queen of [her] own nerdy domain ."
