It’s naive to think that children’s books are the solution to the violence, hate crimes, and racism against the AAPI community, all of which have been exacerbated this past year but have been ongoing throughout our country’s history.



But children’s books are what we have, and we believe they have power: to help a child feel seen and represented, or to promote empathy for someone whose experience is different than the reader’s own.
