Every Month Is Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month
September 15 through October 15 is Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month (officially known as National Hispanic Heritage Month) - a great opportunity to bring to your attention outstanding fiction by authors whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America as well as some of the most significant books on Hispanic and Latin American history and culture.
Adding the term "Latinx" to "Hispanic" in the title better describes this list and allows it to be more inclusive by listing books by authors of Haitian, French Guianan, and Brazilian heritage.
Fiction and poetry comprise the first section of the list, followed by non-fiction titles beginning on page 3. Both sections are sorted alphabetically by author. New titles are added regularly, so be sure to check back.
