City Books Writers: As Seen on "Shelf Life"
In 2017, City Books partnered with PCTV21 on a project called Shelf Life, a book show about Pittsburgh authors and topics relevant to western Pennsylvania and the tri-state region. Hosted by Arlan Hess and directed & produced by Carl Cimini, Shelf Life’s mission is to explore issues related to poets and writers, support dialogue between writers and audiences, and increase literacy across ages and genres. Most of the guests have appeared at City Books events where their titles are available for sale. Now on a covid-related hiatus, past episodes can be viewed on the City Books website and on PCTV21’s YouTube channel. This is the first time a shoppable list of the books has been available on Bookshop for direct home delivery. Alas, this list is missinng Joan E. Bauer's The Almost Sound of Drowning and Justin Vicari's In Search of Lost Joy (both published by Main Street Rag), and Matt Holbein's 24-Hour Flowers (The Foliage Library). If you are interested in those titles, or if anything else you are looking for here is backordered, please contact the bookstore directly at [email protected] for over-the-counter orders.
List is in reverse order of appearance on Shelf Life.
