Black Lives Matter at School: Black Families
This list is for one of the 13 principles of Black Lives Matter. These 13 principles guide the curriculum for Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action and Year of Purpose. This principle is focused on the commitment to making our learning spaces family-friendly that enable parents/care-givers to fully participate with their children. The principle, Black Families is committed to dismantling the patriarchal practice and alternatively, uplifts the many different kinds of families that exist. For younger learners, this principle shares the message that there are lots of different kinds of families; what makes a family is that it’s people take care of each other.
