2021 Calendars: Never Look Back
By Book Moon

You're going to need a calendar this year.
No, listen to me. YOU NEED A WALL CALENDAR THIS YEAR because you're going to forget what day it is.
Soon, so very very soon, you will become so consumed, so overwhelmed, so ecstatic with happiness that 2020 is behind you—a disorientation-of-the-linear will take hold of your psyche.
You'll need something grounding. Something tangible. Something adorable.
Put down that phone. What happiness has your phone brought you in the last year?
NOTHING!!
Don't look upon its demonic digital gaze. Instead, regard your new 12-by-glorious-12 inch analog wall calendar and REJOICE!!
That's not just an adorable cat! That's not just some picture of a mind-bending nebula! That's the bright, beautiful future you just nailed into your wall. Didn't that feel good? Go ahead, flip those months with enthusiasm—you time ranger. You warrior of chaos from Before. You've earned it. You've arrived.
It's 2021.

Many moons ago, Amanda first worked as a bookseller at Buffalo Street Books Co-Op in Ithaca, NY. She’s thrilled to be back among the books, especially here in Easthampton where she’s lived for two years. Amanda holds a B.M. in Music Composition and a minor in English Lit. from Ithaca College. She enjoys all kinds of books but is especially partial to anything involving science fiction, speculative fiction, feminist/LGBTQ themes, and writers of color. She’s a nerd’s nerd and loves being a part of this amazing community of book lovers. Come talk to her about her strange taste in music (jazz fusion, anyone?), books, artsy films, and the Fermi Paradox.
