Wendy Pearlman is a professor at Northwestern University. She speaks Arabic and has spent more than twenty years studying and living in the Arab World, including Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip. In addition to dozens of articles about the Middle East, she has written two acclaimed books about the Palestinian national movement. Educated at Harvard, Georgetown, and Brown, she was a Fulbright Scholar and a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard's JFK School of Government's Belfer Center. She lives in Chicago, Illinois.
