About the Author
SHERRY MATTHEWSMatthews has spent most of her life working for change through her advocacy marketing firm, which was named "Hot Shop of the Southwest" soon after it opened in 1983. She has been winning marketing awards ever since, while working with many government agencies, nonprofits, and socially conscious companies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Department of Transportation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Whole Foods Market, and Orangutan Foundation International.Her personal connection to the Waco State Home is that her 3 brothers spent part of their youth there.
