About the Author

Deborah Noyes is the author of two adult novels, as well as The Ghosts of Kerfol and other books for young readers. It's a dense, haunted place, and I guess I'm inclined to feel haunted." Deborah Noyes lives in western Massachusetts.

"In this interlinked story collection, an ensemble of narrators takes on the voices of 11 people--some real, some invented--who are trapped in the orbit of P.T. Barnum.... The narrators, most taking on two different roles, succeed at making each character
