About the Author

Meaghan Axel was a secondary English teacher for many years before her passion for learners and children's literature led her to where she truly belongs-the elementary school library. After dabbling with yoga and meditation for some time, Meaghan became a certified yoga instructor in 2014. She enjoys sharing her love for reading, yoga, and meditation with others. Mrs. Axel lives on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland with her husband and daughter.
Michelle Simpson was grown and raised in the woods of Niagara Falls Canada, and still resides there today. She is a full-time freelance illustrator, focusing mainly on children's publications, and holds a BAA in Illustration from Sheridan College. Michelle has worked as a concept artist at KeyFrame Animation for kids cartoons such as Ollie: The Boy Who Became What He Ate (season2) and Tee and Mo (season1). She is the author of Night Festival: A silent picture book, and Monsters In My House which was short-listed for the Canadian Self Publishing awards in 2014.
