About the Author

Jade Richardson was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Early in her schooling, she had a knack for creative writing and storytelling. It was not until she was told from a classmate on the school bus that she was pretty "for a dark-skinned girl" that she was truly propelled to write more personal narratives about the distorted views of beauty in the world today and what young girls and boys can do to feel confident in their skin.
