About the Author
Charlotte Zolotow-author, editor, publisher, and educator-had one of the most distinguished careers in the field of children's literature. She wrote more than seventy books, many of which are picture-book classics including the Caldecott Honor medalist Mr.Rabbit and the Lovely Present. Born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1915,
Helen Craig has illustrated more than sixty books for children, including the Angelina Ballerina books. She lives in England.
