About the Author

Alan Moore is an English writer widely regarded as the best and most influential writer in the history of comics. His seminal works include V for Vendetta, From Hell and Watchmen, for which he won the Hugo Award and was adapted into a film as well as a HBO original series. He is also the author of the bestselling Jerusalem. He was born in Northampton, and has lived there ever since.
Grant Morrison, MBE is a Scottish comic book writer and playwright. They are known for their nonlinear narratives and countercultural leanings in their runs on titles including DC Comics's Animal Man, Doom Patrol, Batman, JLA, Action Comics, All-Star Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Vertigo's The Invisibles, and Fleetway's 2000 AD. They have also served as the editor-in-chief of Heavy Metal and currently operate as an adviser for the magazine. They are the co-creator of the Syfy TV series Happy! starring Christopher Meloni and Patton Oswalt. Morrison is also an occasional actor, with their most recent appearance being a brief cameo as a news broadcaster in the 2017 horror comedy film Mom and Dad, which starred Nicolas Cage and Selma Blair.
TONY DANIEL was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He grew up in Tuscaloosa and Anniston, Alabama, before attending college in Birmingham, Alabama. Daniel is the author of many science fiction novels and award-winning short stories. He was a Hugo finalist for his short story Life on the Moon, which also won the Asimov's Reader's Choice Award. In the 1990s, he founded and directed the Automatic Vaudeville dramatic group in New York City. Then, during the early 2000s, he was a story editor and producer of audiodrama at SCIFI.COM's Seeing Ear Theatre. He coauthored screenplays for horror movies that have appeared on two cable channels. Daniel has also written many essays and reviews for venues as varied as The Stranger and The Federalist. During the mid-2000s, he moved to Texas and taught literature and writing for six years on both an undergraduate and graduate level at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is currently Senior Editor at Baen Books, which has editorial offices in North Carolina. Daniel attended Birmingham-Southern College, in Birmingham, Alabama, where he majored in philosophy. He got his Masters in English from Washington University in St. Louis. He also attended the University of Southern California CNTV graduate program in Los Angeles before moving to Seattle to begin a writing career. He lived in the Seattle area for five years, primarily on Vashon Island in an old city bus. Since then, he has lived in Prague, New York City, Randolph and Cherokee Counties in Alabama, Sant Llorenc Savall, near Barcelona, and Allen, Texas, near Dallas. He currently resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with his wife Rika, and children, Cokie and Hans.
