About the Author

SAM POLSON is the Lead Pastor of West Park Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and featured teacher with the SonLight Radio media ministry. He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board for ABWE, the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, and previously served for many years on the Board of Shepherds Ministries, an educational ministry for adults with developmental disabilities. Sam was born and raised in New Castle, Indiana, where he met and married his wife, Susan. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in theology from Bob Jones University and then served seven years as an assistant pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay, Ohio. The Polsons then moved to Knoxville, where Sam has served as Lead Pastor for more than 33 years. They have three grown children who live in the Knoxville area. Sam advises the pastoral team and staff, teaches in large and small group settings, and is the most energized by witnessing people come alive to the reality of the gospel. Sam Polson's other books include In His Image, By Faith, SonLight (a daily devotional), and Corona Victus: Conquering the Virus of Fear. Playwright, author, and director Lisa Soland is currently touring with her hit play SERGEANT YORK: THE PLAY, based on the life of WWI hero Alvin C. York. Her plays Waiting, Cabo San Lucas, Truth Be Told, The Man in the Gray Suit, and The Name Game have been published by Samuel French Inc., but her work can also be found in countless best of anthologies by French, Smith & Kraus, Applause Books, and Dramatic Publishing. While living in Los Angeles, she produced and directed over 80 productions and play readings, 55 of which were original. Ms. Soland teaches playwriting at Maryville College, Lincoln Memorial University, and at various workshops throughout the United States. She has over 60 international publications, including the children's books: Somebunny To Love, The Christmas Tree Angel, The Unmade Moose, Thump, The Truth about God's Rainbow, God's Promises, and The Boy & the Bagel Necklace.
