About the Author

K.A. Cummins is a math lover, techie, consumer of mass amounts of information, art enthusiast, a homeschooler, and an indie author. She also enjoys seizing opportunities for adventure, when they arise. Despite a fear of heights, her exploits in the multiverse include tandem skydiving, climbing the Mayan Ruins of Lamanai in Belize, hiking through the Belizean Rainforest, exploring Rio Secreto in Mexico, rafting the upper and lower Ocoee River in Tennessee, and cold-weather camping in the Superior National Forest. In her most recent endeavor, she reeled in a couple of sharks off the coast of Southern California. When it comes to writing, she enjoys delving into the mysteries of the universe and the quantum realm to illuminate human experiences in imaginary settings filled with adventure. Her stories connect possibilities, people, and the peculiar. Cummins has published a few short stories and regularly contributes to Lands Uncharted, a multi-author blog focused on speculative fiction for teens. She was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Writers of the Future contest for the 3rd Quarter of 2016 and was runner-up in the Realm Makers Scholarship Contest hosted by Endless Press in January of 2018. Cummins lives in Alabama with her husband and their youngest son, whom she homeschools. She is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers Association, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and the Realm Makers Community.
