About the Author
Lachlan Markay and Asawin Swin Suebsaeng are investigative and White House reporters for The Daily Beast. Before joining the publication, Suebsaeng worked for Mother Jones and the Bangkok Post, and Markay wrote for the Washington Free Beacon and the Heritage Foundation. NPR has compared the unlikely duo to Bert and Ernie. Trump acolyte Sebastian Gorka has accused one of them of having a cocaine habit and the other of having no moral center.
"It almost reads like if Hunter S. Thompson wrote a true crime book about politics."--Business Insider "A dishy takedown of the mediocrities, charlatans, and grifters populating the corridors of power in D.C. . . . Markay and Suebsaeng are so breathless that it's like reading Kenneth Anger's Hollywood Babylon after a healthy diet of Peter Biskind and David Thomson . . . Readers who can't get enough dirt on Trump and associates will revel in it."--Kirkus Reviews "Irreverent, darkly humorous . . . [The authors'] colorful prose . . . and their jibes frequently contain sharp insights into 'Trumpworld.'" --Publishers Weekly
