About the Author

Marie Arana was born in Lima, Peru. She is the author of the memoir American Chica, a finalist for the National Book Award; two novels, Cellophane and Lima Nights; and The Writing Life, a collection from her well-known column for The Washington Post. She is the Literary Director of the Library of Congress and lives in Washington, DC, and Lima, Peru.
Cynthia Farrell is a professional voiceover artist with experience working on video games, commercials, and audiobooks. An Earphones Award winner, she is known for her portrayal of strong female characters. In addition to her voiceover work, she also has worked off-Broadway as a musical-theater singer ever since she attended New York University's musical-theater program. An English and Spanish speaker, she currently resides in her hometown of Los Angeles.
