About the Author

Diane deGroat is the illustrator of more than 120 children's books and the author-illustrator of bestselling books about Gilbert, including Ants in Your Pants, Worms in Your Plants! Mai Nguyen Do is a Vietnamese American poet and advocate for Vietnamese America's future. She is the author of GHOSTS STILL WALKING (Platypus Press, 2019). She is Courage Campaign's first Political Fellow, a recipient of the 2017-2018 Rose O'Neill Literary House Jacoby Endowment Grant, and the founding executive editor of Rambutan Literary.
