About the Author

Dr. Lee Gatiss is the Director of Church Society, Editor of the NIV Proclamation Bible, and a Lecturer in Church History at Union School of Theology. He lives in Cambridge, UK.
Peter Adam, born in Melbourne, Australia in 1946, was converted in his last year at school, and was ordained in Melbourne in 1970. His major ministries included 6 years at St John's College Durham; and 20 years as Vicar of St Jude's Carlton, and 10 years as Principal of Ridley College, both in Melbourne. He has written Bible Commentaries, and on church history and preaching. He has spoken at preaching conferences in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the UK. He continues to train preachers, to write, and to mentor people in ministry. His website is
PETER ACKROYD is an award-winning novelist, as well as a broadcaster, poet and historian. He is the author of the acclaimed Thames: Sacred River and London: The Biography. He holds a CBE for services to literature and lives in London.
