About the Author

Brian Crosby is a National Board Certified, twenty-year veteran high school English teacher in the Los Angeles area. He is the author of The $100,000 Teacher, which was chosen as the Best Education Book of the Year by ForeWord magazine. Mr. Crosby, who recently founded the American Education Association, speaks regularly on education issues and is a frequent commentator on television. He lives in Burbank, California, with his wife, two sons and dog.
DANNY FINGEROTH was an award-winning writer and editor at Marvel Comics. A highly-regarded pop culture critic and historian, he is the author of books including Superman on the Couch: What Superheroes Really Tell Us About Ourselves and Our Society and co-editor of The Stan Lee Universe, an annotated collection of Lee-rarities from his personal archives. Fingeroth worked with Lee on numerous projects and conducted original, in-depth interviews with him (and many others) in the course of researching A Marvelous Life. Fingeroth has lectured on comics at Columbia University, the Smithsonian Institute, and at Milan's MiMaster Institute, among many other venues.
Travis Langley is a psychology professor at Henderson State University and the author of Batman and Psychology. He has lent his expertise in superheroes and psychology to books about The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Star Wars, and Captain America, as both a series editor and a lead writer. A regular speaker at conferences and fan conventions, he maintains his own blog entitled Beyond Heroes and Villains, which has over 100,000 followers.
Brooks Peck is a curator at the Museum of Pop Culture. There he has curated exhibitions on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Trek, among others. He also cowrote two creature features for the Syfy Channel, Rage of the Yeti and Zombie Apocalypse. He lives in Seattle.
