About the Author

Eve Bunting has written more than two hundred books, including the Caldecott Medal-winning Smoky Night, illustrated by David Diaz. She lives in Southern California. Nancy Carpenter is the illustrator of many books for children, including Twinnies and A Picnic in October, also by Eve Bunting. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
