About the Author

David Macaray is a playwright, writer, and former union representative with Local 672 of the AWPPW (Association of Western Pulp & Paper Workers). He served nine terms as president, delegate and chief contract negotiator for the Local, as well as editor of the union newspaper. David has had a dozen plays produced at small theaters in Los Angeles, Hollywood and Orange County ("Borneo Bob," "Larva Boy," "No Salesman Will Call," et al), and has written more than 150 articles on the subjects of labor, politics, travel, baseball, and entertainment, the first of which appeared in a Punjabi newspaper while Macaray was a Peace Corps volunteer in India. He is married, with a grown daughter, and lives in Rowland Heights, California, a suburb of Los Angeles.
