About the Author

Joseph Burdick has more than 30 years of experience in the photovoltaics industry -- from R&D, measurement, and testing to system design, installation, and project management. He is president and CEO of Burdick Technologies Unlimited, LLC, one of Colorado's top renewable energy companies, and is also a professor at Ecotech Institute, where he trains students for careers in solar installation.
Philip A. Schmidt, Ph.D., has a B.S. from Brooklyn College (with a major in Mathematics), an M.A. in Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics education from Syracuse University. He is Dean of the School of Education at SUNY College at New Paltz. He is author of 3000 Solved Problems in Precalculus and 2500 Solved Problems in College Algebra and Trigonometry as well as numerous journal articles.
