About the Author

Wael Abu-ΚΏUksa is a Polonsky Fellow at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute and an assistant professor in the Political Science department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was a visiting postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, Massachusetts. During the course of his career, he received many grants and scholarships including the Stephen Robert Memorial Prize in Excellence and a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship. His publications include Liberalism and Left in Arab Thought after 1990.
