About the Author
Born in Mexico City, Olivia Maciel is also the author of two previous books of poetry, Limestone Moon and Saltier than Sweet, and editor of the anthology Shards of Light. She has also written articles on art and culture of Latin America for several publications. Olivia Maciel is a lecturer at the University of Chicago.
