About the Author

Rob Schenck is a leading figure in American evangelicalism who has challenged the politicization of his religious community and its attitudes on guns, abortion, and homosexuality. An ordained minister, Rob holds degrees in Bible, theology, and church and state. During his more than three-decade ministry career, he has served as a missionary evangelist, pastor, and minister to top government officials in Washington, DC. He is the founding president of The Dietrich Bonhoeffer Institute, dedicated to promoting ethical reflection and responsible action in public life and policy.
