About the Author

Romand Coles is the Frances B. McAllister Chair and director of the Program for Community, Culture, and Environment at Northern Arizona University. He is the author of Beyond Gated Politics: Reflections for the Possibility of Democracy and coauthor of Christianity, Democracy, and the Radical Ordinary: Conversations between a Radical Democrat and a Christian. He lives in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Stanley Hauerwas (PhD, Yale University) professor emeritus of divinity and law at Duke Divinity School. He is the author of over forty books, including Cross-Shattered Christ, A Cross-Shattered Church, War and the American Difference, and Matthew in the Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible.
