About the Author

Felix Leclerc was an internationally acclaimed singer and poet. He received numerous awards in his lifetime, including the prestigious Grand Prix de l'Academie Charles-Cros in France and the Calixa-Lavallee and the Denise-Pelletier awards. He was posthumously inducted in the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Jean Dallaire was a painter and illustrator. He taught at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Quebec City and worked at the National Film Board of Canada as a filmstrip illustrator.
