Ouisie Shapiro is the author of War in the Ring, One Nation Under Baseball, and One Punch from the Promised Land. She's written for The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Nation, and ESPN. Shapiro is also a six-time Emmy-award winning writer of television documentaries. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband.
