About the Author
Jack Remick has worked underground as a tunnel rat. He's been a social worker, a school teacher, a bus driver, a retail clerk, a turkey de-beaker, and a house painter. In the early 60s he ran off to South America a few times where, with his partner Ramon-a Chilean expatriate-he bummed around as a teacher, smuggler, and general lowlife. He returned to the States under a red flag when the US consul in Cali, Colombia, booted him out rather than renew his passport. He traveled extensively in South America from Peru to Colombia. He lived in Mexico, where his family of silver miners worked in operations that never made money but sounded good in print.
