About the Author
Kirbyjon H. Caldwell is the pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, spiritual home to more than 15,500 members. As pastor, he has implemented many spiritual, social and economic projects in the community, most recently Pointe 2-3-4, a 234-acre mixed-used community that includes the largest residential development constructed by a nonprofit entity in the United States. He lives with his family in Houston. Mark Seal joined Vanity Fair as a contributing editor in 2003, covering stories as varied as the Bernie Madoff scandal, the Oscar Pistorius case, the making of classic films such as Pulp Fiction, and many more.
