About the Author

Randy McCharles
Janice MacDonald is the author of nine books, including novels, non-fiction titles, and a children's book. Janice's stories and essays have been widely anthologized, and her popular Randy Craig novels were the first mystery series set in Edmonton. She has taught English literature, communications and creative writing at both the University of Alberta and Grant MacEwan College and is currently the organizational storyteller for the Province of Alberta. She lives and writes in Edmonton
Axel Howerton is a former entertainment journalist and Prairies region director of the Crime Writers of Canada, and the Arthur Ellis Award nominated author of the detective caper Hot Sinatra; the modern gothic fairytale Furr; the zombie novella Living Dead at Zigfreid & Roy; and the noir fable Con Morte. When he's not on-duty as a "purveyor of literary badassery" and "hometown anti-hero," Axel wanders the foothills of Southern Alberta with his two brilliant sons, and a wife that is way out of his league.
