About the Author

Howard Zinn (1922-2010) was a historian, playwright, and social activist. In addition to A People's History of the United States, which has sold more than two million copies, he is the author of numerous books including The People Speak, Passionate Declarations, and the autobiography, You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train.

Rebecca Stefoff published her first books when she was in college and has been writing ever since. She has written many nonfiction books for children and young adults, with an emphasis on science and history. Through her books teenage readers can explore topics as varied as ghosts, robots, bacteria, evolution, women pioneers, the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, forensic crime solving, and more. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
Jeff Zinn is an experienced narrator, actor, and director with more than thirty years of experience. Best known for his work as the artistic director of the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, he has produced or directed more than 150 of their productions. He currently resides in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
